When I was first looking to upgrade to a Razr, my main concern was battery life. I've only had this device for about two weeks and I can honestly say that the battery life is amazing. Since I was coming from the Thunderbolt, you could imagine how happy I am with such a great device. 15 Hours of regular to somewhat heavy use is great for me, and to know that I could get over 24 hours if I wanted to I even better.

Here are MY settings, do with them what you will:
  • Display to 40% brightness, always
  • 4G/3G - on and off throughout the day
  • Auto Sync - Off (contacts on boot)
  • Location Services - Google only
  • Haptic Feedback - Off
I'm not going to say this will increase your battery, but this has worked very well for me. I personally get about Three hours of screen on time and I listen to music about 2-4 hours total throughout the day. No Wifi for me. I'm running Arctic ICS on the .215 leak and am Using the Hotplug Governor with the CPU sleep app, to ensure a deep sleep when not in use.

Does anyone have any other things to throw in for those who are less fortunate with their battery life?
Any Apps or Settings you would recommend to maximize battery life?

Great App! I had to disable the superuser notifications for it though, gets kind of annoying every time you turn the screen on.
Saving me tons of battery!

Curious as to what your screen on time is in that screenshot and what you define as "heavy use" because it looks like you didn't use the phone much.

I definitely would not classify that as heavy use, but that is just about my regular use. About 2.5 hours of screen on time, listening to music in the background etc. Heavier use and I probably would have been closer to 40-50 percent, judging on my past use.

Can I use CPU Sleep along with SetCpu? and how can I tell if CPU Sleep is working? I don't see it in running services.

By any chance did you unplug your phone off charger before going to bed and gaining 6 hours of standby

Nope, plug in at night, unplug in the morning. Same time every day.

Just got a new S3 because I couldn't handle the razr battery life...and wasn't wasting an upgrade and 230 on the identical 7 month old phone with a bigger battery .... this week on the official ota I wasn't even getting 3 hrs of heavy use before I was at 30%...6 hrs of light use. I was down to 20 percent... screen as dim as it would go.couldn't see it outside it was so dim..no location services, all syncs turned off, I manually synced as needed.this was on 3g only.I've never had a phone with worse battery life than the razr ever. The s3 is way better with a bigger screen and heavier use.

Use Smart Actions to turn data off when the screen is off.

I used to get 16 hours on GB with over 3 hours screen time consistently. Not on wifi

Doing the same tasks I found SmartActions superior to llama, AutomateIt, and JD Ultimate. Mobile data also recovers faster when turned on/off by SmartActions. That being said, the other three are each superior in other ways so it comes down to what exact you are trying to make your device do.

I'm not opposed to it (or trying to start a forum fight, i'd lose) but I've just read a lot of negative things about it throughout my prowling of the forums, especially (if I recall correctly) that it actually HURTS you more than it helps... Thats all I'm saying :)

If you know how to use it right, it can be a great tool. I personally could care less about it and I use llama.
