Ok well this is a long explanation but here goes. I rooted my phone a while back and that unrooted and went stock so I could take OTA update, than rerooted. I downloaded a rom multiple times and tried flashing multiple times and get the same error every time. Even with mods like 1% battery mod. I keep getting an "opening package" than "installing" and than "Installation Aborted" in safestrap recovery. I have safestrap and safe system enabled at the time. Also have Razr bootstrapped. I've tried formatting sd card and internal storage and rerooting again, still nothing. Does this have something to do with the update? Oh yeah I even tried to flash Droid Bionic Clockwork mod but that didn't work either. Please try to help me. Thank You

Well to start. You can't have Razr Bootstrap and Safestrap at the sametime. try disabling superuser permission for Razr Bootstrap or uninstall the app reboot. Then use safestrap if that is what you r trying to do.

I think I tried that already, i'm not for sure though I'll try again.

Someone help me or correct me,l but this does sound like the improper removal of bootstrap and then running SS? I thought I had read this before. I have never used bootstrap on my razr. it was never SAFE enough at the time. Im just too much in love with SS.

(ss=safestrap)

This is what I would do
1. Enable safe-mode
2. Wipe data/factory reset
3. wipe cache partition
4. under mounts/storage "wipe system"
5. Advanced "Wipe dalvik"
6. Disable safe-mode and reboot
7. in your app drawer open SS
8. Uninstall recovery
9. in apps manager remove SS
10. UN-root
11. Do a quick SYNC
12. pwr off your Razr
13. hold vol/pwr until MOTO recovery loads
14 "recovery"
15 wipe data/factory reset
16. Zergrush Root
17 . Install SS and only use SS

Yup, that's what i would do. I'd say there's a good chance some decent damage has been done from multiple recoveries. I'd say a complete wipe & start over with safe strap (only) is your best bet. Let us know what you do, and how it works.
