Just joined .... have owned a Razr Maxx for several months now - love it but ready to try some new roms. I have yet to even root it yet. I previously had a Droid2 which i tried various roms and can say that they were considerably better than the stock rom. I wanted to get familiar with Razr Maxx and give the stock rom a fair shake down before venturing to something else. So i guess the first step is to figure out how to root it with ICS and then pick a rom to try out - any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

So assuming you're on the official ICS, go download Matt's Utlity 1.81 and you can use that to root your device. Very easy, just follow the directions.

So thus far i have successfully rooted my Razr Maxx and have installed the Eclipse ICS rom - very nice!
Nice . I ran Eclipse for a while. I'm currently on Arctic and I love it.

There were a lot of good comments re: Eclipse so i thought i would start with that one - will have to keep Arctic in mind. Unfortunately, still plague with some video streaming issues with ICS. Have re-installed flash, tried 3-4 browsers - will have to start poking around and see if i can find a resolution.
The only reason I left Eclipse is I was curious about Arctic . Flash is pretty weird on ICS, have you tried Boat Browser? Flash works fine for me on that.

Boat browser is sweet!!!!!!!!!!! Very fast - still having flash issue - wonder if something stepped on the flash install - gonna try uninstalling and re-installing once more.
Well flash in general for ICS kind of sucks
