when it boots up it says unlocked. Thats the part having problems with.

Last time I tried got a green Droid with RED !!! and had to reboot..

Could show or tell me which flash is needed.

select a recovery you want to use, either twrp or cwm. most here I think use twrp and flash that in fastboot to replace the default moto recovery.

then when twrp (cwm) starts up, you can flash the supersu.zip file that you have downloaded

Excuse me, Mr Kaos???  :D  My script for unlocked phones wasn't a bad move!  :p Not sure from that description what exactly happened.  META-INF?  WTF?  I don't even know what that means.  To use my unlocked root method you just extract the zip, drop in the twrp or cwm recovery you want to use, replace the supersu.zip with the latest from chainfire, and run it.

Yea, I know exactly what you were thinking. I laughed.  :D  I suppose I could update it with the latest supersu and release it as 1.4 or something.  Bah, forget that.  LOL

Download matt's utility delete the recovery that's in the utility place the newer recovery of your choice in the utility and look at the name of the recovery file. Hover your mouse over the utility icon press shift and right click then click on open command prompt here. Put your phone in fastboot mode (the boot loader screen) then in command type. Fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img

working on adt and fastboot and have the file located here C:Android-SDK .

Does fastboot go in the same file as Android-SDK or do i just put it on C drive.

I cant get this part to workie

press and hold Shift and

on the ADB folder. Select from the contextual menu "Open Command window here". This will open a command line for you, already browsed to the folder on your desktop. Now, the easy part.

both of these work in AVD Manager and SDK Manager work in Run

THXS Shane for your help..

Is this True

If your bootloader is unlocked, you don't need to maintain root. You just need to flash a SU zip in recovery.
