I installed the new Voice Search for Google Now from the Play Store, and this works quite well.
Works with Arctic just fine, should work with any ICS ROM.... Now just have to wait to see how hard this is on my battery.

I myself have not had one hiccup, and by the nature of my job, I do web searches all day.

'Voice Search for Google Now' is a new app in the Play store, not to be confused with the standard ICS voice search.

My guess is you dictated something that was somewhat "complicated" for the search engine to quickly respond. For example, I've said the following simple sentences and Google Now immediately returned responses:
- How do aspirins work?... which listed several options like 'How do aspirins work with pain", "How do aspirins work in a heart attack?", and so on...
- McDonalds.... which returned maps to the nearest McDonalds
- Directions to the zoo?... which returned "Directions to the zoo in Indiana?", "Directions to the zoo in Michigan?"...
- How is toilet paper made?... which returned something... I forgot now
- What's 3+3?... which returned "3+3=8" (I haven't dug deeper into that answer yet, lol)

However, if I asked "survival rate of cancer in the lymph nodes", it'll display that phrase, but does not return any response. If I press the search button once more, then it will google search just like before Google Now.

You can't download just this app, or any app?

Edit: looks like Voice Search for Google Now has been pulled from the Play store. Strange....

This is "creepy"..... Just now, while googling for AAU basketball tournaments for my team, I was looking for directions on how to get to 3 particular gyms. I did all my research on my PC. Then by chance, I looked over at my Razr, the Google Now map cards to those 3 gyms automatically show up on the phone.
