I'd have to see the flash log from RSD.  SWDL txt file from your RSD folder.  Post the contents.

Read that, as well.  Very likely that will help.

I'm having the same error... I'm going to try again, but I'm not sure it will work. My phone is a completely stock razr hd. My phone froze out of nowhere, so I soft reset it... now it won't boot up!!! It won't get past the red M! I can boot into recovery and ap fastboot, but not any of the other options. So I want to flash the KK update to the phone. I tried and it kept failing. I'm going to try again when I get home and will update you guys. But I had a question... do you know what could have made my phone do this? Like I said it's completely stock, non root, locked bootloader... I don't know what happened...

Figured it out... in my case, my memory chip burnt up. It requires a new motherboard. It costs about $55.00 bucks for the motherboard alone.

I think I might have the same problem.  How did you know it was your memory chip? and did you successfully replace your motherboard?

Thanks

You need to manually edit the XML file and delete the getvar line(s) .... (With any good text editor ).... notepad ++ ....
Is what I use...... Or use Sam's script generator to create a custom XML file and it will automatically remove the getvar lines ....

And like I said, if you get a GPT error, you're flashing the WRONG FXZ. I don't know how much clearer I can make this.

I'm also having a gpt error on rsd lite and I downloaded 4.4.2 which was what the phone had initially, pls help me out. I noticed that my file doesn't have CFC in it's name, I don't know whether that's useful

Saying 4.4.2 is like saying windows, it doesn't help.  The version numbers are the last two .10 .15 etc.  If you flashed the .10 version and got a gpt error then the security violation (gpt) indicates an attempt to downgrade you need to flash the next version up.

The site is slow so it might take a few minutes to connect up and start downloading.

The size of the file you downloaded doesn't seem right. This file shows 723.9 meg

Other than a low battery which will prevent the phone from flashing. It looks like you might have a hardware failure.

gpt error usually means you are trying to flash an older firmware than what is on the phone (downgrading) If your locked you can only flash the same or newer version.

Thank you to everyone who posted before this.  It helped immensely.  I am getting the same issue with being stuck at the Eye during start-up.  I have attempted to return the phone (XT907) to stock and used Fastboot and RSD Lite 5.6.  I can get to step 15 and get a failure trying to flash system “system.img”.  I am guessing this might indicate a hardware problem but am looking for input.  I am new to working on phones but can learn pretty quickly.

Last File I tried:

Hey everyone!  I got it working!!!  I just had to update to a newer version of RSDLite that could handle a larger image size.
