Hello, I will be giving the xt907 to my girlfriend for her birthday 01/03/13 I would like to make some customizations and adjust some setting for her convenience like adding menu buttons to the navigation bar and add/change some notification quick settings.. So that would be a baked ROM for 4.1-4.3 I guess?, which is a great stable and reliable ROM to give this away with? 

ROMS I've tried:
Carbon 4.3-4.4 jittery, lags
slimrom 4.3 - slimkat 4.4 = also lags , jittery

OSE ROM 4.4 - not responsive lag

M Rom is great but doesn't have the cutomizations I want.
OSE ROM

 

Now I'm going to try liquid smooth v2. 37 nightly (4.2.2) //

 

since I'm new to the Razr M forum can you help me by giving me your most solid ROM?

There is no "best" ROM.  I prefer OSE, but someone might not like it or their phone doesn't work as well with OSE as mine.

right, i know theres not a best im rather looking for recommendations, which version of OSE do you prefer?

OSE in my opinion is the best. Currently running 12/18 build. Get an app called "seeder", you can get it for free on XDA. it helps tremendously with the lag. And switch over to SuperSU for root access, it is much better than superuser.

is that 4.3 or 4.4 you have? can you provide me the direct link?

IMO, CM 10.1.3 is the most "stable". CM11 has been fine for me. It's official but not stable yet by CM's standards. Any of the GZR or OSE Roms will be far more customizable and are well supported here. They're also ahead of AOKP, PA, etc....

It is there, the file name says 12-18 but website says it was uploaded 12-17. And it is 4.4.2 it is not stable rom like rob626 said but it is close enough to be a daily driver.

i tried this rom and its awesome. the only thing is that im not able to send SMS text messages .. anything i can to about that?

You're on VZW? Not aware of SMS issues on CM10.1.3 or CM 11.

Sms works fine on my end. So does mms. Not sure why you are having issues. Reboot and if that don't help, leave a post on the ose thread.

Well I'm actually on Claro (Dominican Republic) and I was able to get SMS working and signal bars back by editing a build.prop line and replacing a file in /system/etc which I found in a XDA forum...  So everything is working great now .. CM also has a 4.3 snapshot which tempts me but as far as kit kat goes I think its still not in that daily driver spot yet.. it was laggy and slow for me
