Have an XT926 Maxx with an unlocked bootloader. I can wipe partitions and flash custom ROMs just fine (using TWRP/CWR). I can also fastboot back to stock images using RSD. But for some reason, I can't get past the boot animation. For example, on the stock rom, it'll display the 'DROID' image upon boot and play the 'DROID' sound but then suddenly freezes, then reboots (over and over again). I've gone into factory recovery, did a factory reset and wiped data/cache and still have the same issue.

I've searched the forums and was not able to find anyone with the same issue.

Any suggestions? Am I screwed? Perfectly good phone otherwise!  I've been able to get it to boot once or twice and don't know how.  I just let it keep attempting and it worked.  But once I shut down/restart, it bootloops again and again.

Sounds like possibly a hardware issue.

Ah...that blows.  I wonder what portion of the hardware, though.  Any ideas?

Have you ever taken the phone apart?

I took mine apart to fix a bent volume rocker and when I put it back together encountered the exact same thing; I RSD'd to stock and everything, and would get to play the DROID sound then freeze and do it over again.

My solution?  Take it apart again and put it back together lol I must have put something back on wrong or made contact with something I shouldn't have.  Once I did that it booted up first time no problem.

Anyways good luck to you
