Deodexed and Zipaligned 6.16.215 base

Ok, Here is the 6.16.215 rooted, deodexed, and zipaligned base.

This is for anyone who wants to get their 1% mod back on the

leak or anyone that needs a base for rom development. This

took about 4 hours to do, not including getting the base.

This is now completely deodexed! So no more odex files and

everything is there. Please enjoy and dont forget to like if

you appreciate this. I hope some people can put this to

good use and hopefully It will save them some time.

If you use this please give credit where credit is due.

Enjoy~

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would like this to stay on droidrzr.com, please do not re-post this to

other places. If you want to share just post a link to this thread.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS WITH BOOTSTRAP! If you do

I will not be able to give you support and help with any problems you have with it.

Any difference between your .215 and D3R3's ???? (I did notice the files are different in size.)

Glad to see you got it working. And your welcome for at least trying to get you a clean base, even if it didn't go as planned. :-P

Yeah its fine. I ended up getting some files from it in the end. Also droidian its all good I eventually got one ;)
@wabmorgan Yes, mine uses almost 0% .211 the only things I gathered from hashcodes were things that I could not get and did not change through the update process. So you could say this is a more stock 6.16.215

I am currently using the .211 base version of this rom and have been loving it so far. I would like to update to this version, but I have a couple of questions that I would love to get some clarification on. I got my Droid Razr Maxx at the end of May coming from an HTC Incredible, and as I'm sure many of you know, that phone had an unlocked bootloader and a lot of developer support. I see in the prerequisites for this updated rom that I would have had to install the .215 kernel before installing. I was hoping someone could explain to me why that would be necessary...to my knowledge, the only requirements for a rom on my old phone was that you have clockworkmod recovery installed for flashing.

I apologize for the noobiness...I have a lot of experience flashing roms, mods, kernels and the like on my Incredible, but when it comes to Motorola devices, I have very little knowledge.

I can from an HTC Evo and know what you mean. In the motorola world you must have safestrap installed in order to flash 99% of the roms out there. That being said in order to get this installed just move the zip file to your sd card. Boot into safestrap with safe side enabled. Install zip from sd card and you are golden. If you need more detailed instructions see below:

Once Safestrap is installed from RazrUtility (see matts razr utility 1.81) open the app and install recovery partition.

Reboot phone and hold menu button. Press menu button when prompted.

Activate Safe Side under Safe Boot Menu

Select Mounts/Storage

Select format system

Select wipe data/factory reset

Select Wipe cache partition

Select advanced

Select wipe dalvik cache

Install Update from SD Card

Thank you both for the information. I do have safestrap installed and I'm currently running the Deodexed and Zipaligned .211 base that Kebob posted a few weeks ago. I was hoping to be able to just flash this one in safestrap and automatically have the new kernel included, "cooked" into the ROM as they said in the Inc rom posts. Suppose I'm going to have to dedicate some time to get back to stock .211, and update from there.

Unfortunately with the locked bootloader, there is no way to cook a kernel into a ROM. it has to be installed thru a moto/Vz update/leak or fastbooted(the matt utility way).

Put this in (did all the obligatory wipes of course). I can't get Motocast to connect. It sees my computers, but lists them as offline when they aren't. Any ideas? I've deleted and reinstalled my Motocast ID, and cleared cache on the Motocast apps. Thx.

I wish that were it. Updated several days ago on the PC side. Before I installed this ROM on the safe side, the unsafe side of 215 worked fine with Motocast.

Well If we can confirm that the files are the issue then I will fix it but if its just you not much for me to say but redownload and reflash. Since the app itself is zumocast it could be a error with that

You'll never believe this. Some jackhole went into TiBu and FROZE zumoservice. Funny thing is, the phone never leaves my side...
(thanks for the tip to look at zumoservice)
