This situation has been brought up in Arctic and Ikream in the past and I am continuing to have this problem.

My wifi and cell phone signals are strong and true when I first boot my phone. If I don't use Juice Defender or Smart actions they will stay strong. However, let my phone go to sleep and turn it back on later, my wifi will show 0% even though I have access and my phone signal will show 1-2 bars even though i have a 85 dbm and 100% (as per the app Nework Signal Info). NSI will show 0% signal as well on wifi.

Wifi is much more inconsistent than my phone signal but both do have issues. I just now turned my phone back on out of sleep and am showing 0% wifi and bounce between 3-4 bars. NSI shows 0% wifi and once again a full 85 dbm and 100% cell signal.

This has happened to me on .214 and currently .215 and I have tried both Arctic and Ikream. I haven't been on .211 on this particular phone since I just bought it last week and upgraded it immediately to .215. I can say that switching between 3g/4g is much quicker under .215.

Anyone having these problems and if so, do we have any idea what is causing this? Just to outline, this is on a:

Razr Maxx
.215
Ikream 2.2 (have tried Arctic prior to the new .215 release with same results)
Using cpusleep
Have the latest superuser and busybox

One other note, if I freeze Smart Actions and just toggle wifi on/off with a widget in Elixir, I have no problems. It only happens when using JD or SA.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

This happened to me while running Juice Defender on .211 stock (rooted). I uninstalled Juice Defender and it stopped.

Are you still stock rooted? If so, would you mind to try it with Smart Actions? This is Motorola's own app, so it would almost seem more like a kernel problem. Are both of you on a Maxx?

I am stock, Maxx, rooted. I've tried SmartActions before, but not with .211. I'll give it a try and see if I get the samething if you want me to.

If you don't mind, that would be great.

I'm stock, .215, not rooted, and I use smart actions and have experienced the same thing. No explanation, but I love the smart actions and try to ignore it as much as possible. I barely use wifi anymore though, because of the issue.

I notice my wifi is not as fast, but it still works even with the 0% signal.

Yeah, that's y I basically quit using wifi, cuz my 4G is faster now, it wasn't before. It was a tie between my wifi n 4G before, now its no contest. It should be opposite.

Can't say that at my house. I'm on the fringe with 4g. Not the best so I have to use wifi. Work is better but wifi is better d/l and 4g is better u/l.

rooted .215... and it happens to me too... I use SA for screen off/on connectivity and turning data off when I use wifi and vice versa, annoying but not the end of the world.. a fix would be sweet... my wifi icon is full strength after a reboot but after locking my screen the icon is at the minimum, even though it says my signal strength is excellent... very strange... same thing happened when I used JD for screen connectivity.

So I've confirmed that any app like SA, Llama or Tasker that you use to turn off wifi with screen off causes this, which sucks... when I delete those rules and just toggle wifi with widgetsoid, it works perfectly. Hopefully this can be fixed.

If anyone has fixed this issue or has any ideas, please don't hesitate to let us know! :)

Hopefully this is going to be fixed in an official release since SA breaks it as well.

Rockin' it with my Maxx, iKream and T-Talk
