I'm afraid I will be sitting on the sidelines for this one.. the Razr Maxx is as far as I will get to go for the forseeable future lol. I will definitely be wishing I had an HD though!

Stopping at Maxx for a while. Hd is too little of an update with the bootloader. I vow my next phone will be unlocked.

I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to get one my self. Looks to be right up my alley but I don't see them unlocking the boot loaders anytime soon. Since I'll be paying full price I may hold out to see if they make a developer edition.

Just a guess I have no evidence or proof of said device.

not sure yet. Elephant in the room is iPhone5.

rumors and promise of that iphone is still the thing many everywhere are waiting to see.
4S was disappointing to me and many and why so many bought the Razr. As much as i love Android since the Galaxy S1 days, iphone was the phone that took smartphones to a new level that microsoft / palm / RIM couldn't do crap with.

If iPhone5 lives up to the rumours (and you can tell they missed the boat with the 4S when you have iOS6 and iphone 5), you might see a phone with alot of the Android goodness but with more tech and apps. 3.5" screen was getting too small for today's webpages, but today's monster phones are not cool with me either. a 4" screen in the same form factor as the existing iphone is just right to my ears.

I will admit to missing the apps. I have the new ipad at home and my wife owns my 3gs. Same Games run better somehow on the new ipad than my TF201 (which i just sold to get the nexus 7). Dolphin is out for the ipad (been using it) and it makes the world go so much better than safari. The text messaging, adding pictures, uploading things, all seem to just flow better on iOS still to me.

I love dabbling with Android and will continue on my nexus tablet, but for a daily phone use, if the iphone5 is what they say, with LTE i can get on my unlimited verizon account, it's going to be a touch choice.

Droid HD is the leading candidate i think against the iphone5. I really don't like Samsung anymore with the snotty treatment they gave the galaxy s1. Samsung is more eager to create a new phone then support its existing ones. HTC has the best support, but no phone, including the monster sized ONE X and the Samsung S3 are appealing to me with their huge sizes. The ONE s is nice, but not on Verizon and under-powered. They need to stop making these phablets and think like Apple, and make them smaller. i don't need a 5" screen. 4" is enough for the kind of browsing you need on the road.

What would be awesome, is if phone manufacturers would sell built to order phones like some P.C manufacturers do. That would be fanfreakingtastic! Just image the possibilities and diversity of phones that we could have built for ourselves as individuals. Of course it's never gonna happen, but hey a person can dream right?

Good specs for a tablet, but bordering on 5" is becomin phablet. Am I the only one that thinks 4-4.5 is best?

My wife has the Note. Nice for watching videos and such, but the 5.1 inch screen is a little too much for me. 4.3 is about where I like it.

Have to say I'm kind of sad, I was hoping to see the 3300mah in the HD. If I had to choose between keeping NFC capabilities or a fat battery Id go with the battery, no brainer.

Just an FYI, The S4 is SO power efficient that it would not surprise me if this S4 powered phone with a ~2500 mah battery may actually last LONGER than our DRM's 3300 mah battery.

I second that. The new processor is supposed to be a lot more effecient than what's in the current Razr/Maxx. I could see it at lease rivaling the Maxx battery.

Unfortunately it's usually the screen, not the processor, that drains the battery most. And a bigger screen with more pixels will likely result in shorter battery life - the smaller battery only compounds this.

All the phones that have this processor and a 4.5+ inch screen have been getting good to amazing battery life with sub 2000 mah batteries though. As in the HTC one X and S along with the Samsung Galaxy S III. So if thos, phones with 1800-2100 mah batteries are lasting all day, what will an extra ~500 do?
