I've tried every combination of Motorola driver installation...and none of the 5 XP machines in my office will conect to the Razr...WTF?!?

I've tried MotoCast, Motorola Device Driver, USB drivers, etc... and it always shows "USB Device not recognized"??

In the System device manager window, it shows a problem with the Windows Kernel DLS Synthesizer..but I've updated the sound card drivers to no avail... and this happens on all 5 machines?!?

I see your post has been sitting a while, so I'll try to help. I noticed on the Moto drivers site that you need SP3 or greater for XP to connect.

Have you verified this is so on your PC?

Also, just checking, have you ever connected this device to any PC?

Have you insured all adb stuff is correct on you PC?

Make sure USB debugging is checked on device.

Also, you can uninstall the current drivers if needed under device manager in XP as well. Just to help if you do have corrupted drivers.
