I have a 926 have had it for a year now all of a sudden it doesn't recognize Sim. Googled it said to do FDR I'm rooted and unlocked. What would happen if I did that? Have no Idea where I would end up or what I would end up with. Anybody have any ideas.

You would end up with a clean data partition. That's why it is called a factory data reset. Since you are unlocked you have nothing to lose other than your data. As for your Sim issue it could also be a bad Sim.

I would still have recovery TWRP. I never took the Ota so I would end up on whatever I was on when I unlocked. I tried new Sim same deal. Phone is in good shape wasn't abused. Long as I got you here are you on Dev Moto X? I have one also if so how is your signal strength mine is only at -101 most times in strong signal area shouldn't it be - 95,or so. Thanks

Currently mine is at -108 but I live in a weak area. This radio seems just a tad weaker than my HD.

When is that coming? I'm around O'Hara field in I'll I'm getting download speeds 50 mb every time don't do much for Sig strength though that's why I was asking. Im getting that new 4th band.
