Xternal Display For Razr Maxx

I have not been able to use Xternal Display. (it worked perfectly on my phone before this last update).
When I try to download it again it errors and says missing shared library. (now in the app store it says Xternal Display for Droid X).
Has someone come up with a way to solve this so I can use this app on my phone again?
Thanks in advance.

1) What was the previous build you were on? Was it a non-ICS build? (I think i remember hearing something about that app not working at all in ICS)
2) What were you using it for that the native HDMI code wouldn't provide?
NOTE: I used to have an X as well and just a heads up, this phone is completely different in terms of how it handles HDMI. Mirroring is already built in, so you really shouldn't need an app like xternal.

Why would you need this? Razr has mirror display so it already does what this app does on its own. Give er a shot

It will not allow you to do this with the standard mirror function.
That would most likely be an issue with the app it self not being updated to work on ICS. Email the developer of that app with your issue.
I've sent several emails to them. No response.
I didn't know what sub forum to put it in.+1 and also there is no reason for making 2 threads for one question! Lol

I've been doing a lot of digging into mot's hdmi code in the ICS releases so I might be able to help out a little. First, a couple questions:
1) What was the previous build you were on? Was it a non-ICS build? (I think i remember hearing something about that app not working at all in ICS)
2) What were you using it for that the native HDMI code wouldn't provide?
NOTE: I used to have an X as well and just a heads up, this phone is completely different in terms of how it handles HDMI. Mirroring is already built in, so you really shouldn't need an app like xternal.
I don't know what the previous build was. I used Xternal Display (to watch NFL Network and my Sunday ticket via my phone's HDMI) on my Razr and on my Razr Maxx before this last update.
There is code built into the phone so you can't watch certain copyrighted things via the HDMI. Xternal Display went around those and allowed me to watch NFL Network via the HDMI output.
It doesn't work via the standard mirror function, that's why I need something like Xternal Display. I've also heard Real HDMI will do the same thing but it's not in my app store. (I don't really want to download something from a 3rd party).

EDIT: wait it's still on the market, just not compatible with our phones. You could just download it on your old DroidX, then pull out the APK and pop it onto your razr to try it.

No luck getting Real HDMI to work on my Razr Maxx.Ah gotcha, I found some code for that type of thing while i was digging through (not related to NFL, it was for a different verizon app), but I see what you mean. I actually used to use RealHDMI, however last i remember that hasnt been updated for a couple years now either.

That why its called hdmi mirror. It mirror everything from your screen.
App is unsupported its not needed.

I have a question concerning mirrror mode. If I connect a tablet (possibly a Nexus 7) to my razr, will mirror mode allow me to use the tablet as a larger touch screen with all of the functions of the razr?

What kind of wire would you use to do this?

Not really sure, hadn't thought that threw. I was thinking about a Bluetooth connection I guess.
