Interesting enough though, this is model number XT925, and not the Verizon variant.

Look at that bigger, secksy-er screen. And also the slightly thinner bezel. Can't wait to put my fingerprints all over it. :P

It's because this is an in-house only model, not one for sale to the masses.

If it's running Jelly Bean, then it could signal the end of Android for me.

Why, what's wrong with JB? I have been using it on my Razr, I think it's awesome. It's what ICS should have been.

I to am curious why the "next best" OS would push you away from Android. Maybe I'm missing something that I should be worried about?

The backs are different for US and EU versions, this is an EU version as you can see by carrier and non-LTE labels.

No webtop baked in so far, or they found a new way to deploy it (more ROM friendly maybe?).

Because Flash is not supported in 4.1. It may still work, if it can even be accessed at all in the market from a device running 4.1, but Adobe will no longer update Flash past 4.0.x.

I like to be able to stream a weather channel or CNN on my phone or Android tablet. They use Flash. If I update any tablet or phone to 4.1, Flash support is gone.

The whole reason why I switched to Android a few years ago was due to being able to have the full internet including Flash. When Flash becomes unsupported, then I won't have the full internet on my Android devices. Yes, many sites are switching to HTML5, but not fast enough. And no, Skyfire wasn't working on at least one Flash site I was trying to access.

Right now, I'm absolutely upset and disappointed that Flash will be disappearing once Android devices get upgraded to 4.1 and beyond.

There are ways to make the market think you're running ICS with the build.prop. Besides, if flash is the reason you'd ditch android where you gonna go? iPhone? No flash there either. It's more likely the Internet will soon embrace HTML 5 more. Now with none of the smart phones supporting flash, any website that actually wants to be seen will fall in line with what's required to be seen from phones. Which are quickly becoming many peoples first line of access to the web. I know a lot of sites still use flash but when their mobile access ratings drop like flies, you will see them start to develop more mobile friendly websites.

Wasn't gonna say anything but the pictures are staring at me everytime i load up the site. That back is ffffuuuugggglllllyyyy. Much prefer the way they "stitched" the kevlar on ours. Was thinking the other day, kevlar backing and a carbon fiber frame would be BA.

According to a rumor out of a site called Hot Hardware, a “very reliable source” has indicated to them that Motorola is going to release both a DROID RAZR HD and a RAZR MAXX HD, but not until October. Their source was not able to confirm any specs, but Motorola employees have done a marvelous job of providing us with those through image hosting and benchmark sites. The FCC filing for the phone gave us some goods too, like the 2530mAh battery it will hold. This person with knowledge of the situation also mentioned that the launch could depend on how many regular RAZR and RAZR MAXX devices they sell leading into the fall season. That seems a bit odd, especially since that build is almost a year old, which is an eternity in the Android game.
All I have to say, is that Motorola would be committing 2012 suicide if they wait until October to release this phone. We all know that Apple is going to drop a new iPhone on us in September, so if you want to make a splash and sell some units as an OEM, you better get whatever it is you’ve got out the door before that happens. And I don’t mean the week before, I mean like next week.

I’m also not sure that I’m fully buying into there being a RAZR MAXX HD, but then again, that beautiful 3300mAh battery that was tucked in the original RAZR MAXX is missing from the RAZR HD. Since massive battery life has been the number 1 selling point for the MAXX, we shouldn’t be surprised if Motorola does have a second model in their bag of tricks.

Thoughts?

Via: Hot Hardware

Cheers Scott and Michael!
