Got it to run by setting the correct permissions. I used RW--R--R then rebooted. Showed up in app drawer. Ran just fine without FCing. Now when I reboot after it prompts, my data is set to GSM only. Might be a separate issue, but damn this is frustrating. Thats the fun of flashing I guess  :D

Edit: For those that reported success, how long does it take for you all to get data, and what is the data mode set to?

I haven't tried it, but try doing it again and quitting when its asking for reboot. Again, I haven't tested this way yet so tell us if it works.

It works! Just download, put in system/app, then change the permissions to rw-r-r--. Then reboot. When you turn on phone you do need to switch off of gsm though.

When you switch after reboot, which mode are you switching to? And how long does it take for your data to kick in?

Working for you?

Nope, spoke too soon. I was saying thank you for trying to fix the app to make it work but I put it on my sd card, moved it to /system/app, changed permissions to 644, rebooted and it's not appearing in my drawer, even TiBu doesn't show it as installed. So, I can't even test to see if it'll fix my cm10 data issue. Oh well, back to the drawing board I suppose. I don't think I did anything wrong, I don't know. I cannot get this damn app to install on my phone no matter what.Edit: I just realized my app drawer was set to "downloaded" instead of "apps" which means it'll only show user apps and not all apps. I did indeed get it installed. Now let's see if it works.

4G!

For those having issues, here is my complete write up on how I got it to work after about 2 hours of trying different settings.

1.) Copied file to \System\app
2.) Reboot
3.) Turned data off
4.) Ran Motorola restore connection app
5.) Reboot
6.) Changed data mode to CDMA / LTE
7.) Turned data back on
8.) Wait 30 Seconds
9.) ????
10.) Profit!

Worked for me twice now. Hope this helps anyone else. Happy rooting!

Edit: Also only seemed to only work when wifi was turned off.

I commend all your efforts, everyone, but no matter what process I try...I still have 0G. And I don't know about others but my phone shows the correct bars for 3G or 4g but they never turn blue.

I almost wonder if the people who are connecting are in areas without any eHRPD transition networks and had fresh LTE towers installed. Because my phone always shows connected to eHRPD which to my understand was a system put in place to aid in converting from 3G to 4G, but some areas may have fresh 4G towers and thats why you can connect.

Switch it to the mode with 6 different data modes. That includes evdo, cdma, lte, etc.

I have the 4g!

1. Download apk from link and place in /system/app
2. Open / install using ROM toolbox root explorer
3. Run app from drawer and try to apply fix, FCs.
4. Copy new apk from /data/app to /system/app
5. Reboot
6. Launch app from drawer, apply fix, restart
7. 4g!

I'm sure some of this wasn't necessary, but the end result has me happy!

Try to apply it without rebooting.

I ended up getting it working. Here's the route I ended up taking, following some of the tips people left here:

Comes on but doesnt stay will try a couple more times. Does it matter the version? Well it actually seemed like it worked. Will see how that goes with the 8/04 test build.

Well, finally after a full wipe and FXZ back to stock, I rooted, installed safestrap, flashed 8/4 test 2 CM10, did a bunch of hocus pocus with the toggles and what-not and NOW, I have 4G! Lol. This is insane though. I will say, I never flashed .215, I am still on .211. I'm almost afraid to flash .215. Don't know what'll happen.

Don't worry, I'm on 215... no problem here whatsoever except for camera. I usually like all ROMs, but this CM10 is super fluid and polished.
