can not install it.... i am running arctic 2.2 rom...

You are gonna have to find a GSM stock wrong then. Get the 2 files from the /system/apps/ inside the zip that say weather. The odex and apk

there is no weather in the Arctic 2.2 rom at all... so i don't know what to do... anyway thanks for your help...

If you tell me what kind of Motorola Razr you have it could help. I have to find a stock ROM of your GSM Razr, unzip it. Go to the systems folder, go to the apps folder, take out the 2 weather files. Zip them, Upload them to you. That's all. You can accomplish this I know you can do it

So, I'm trying to get the stock weather widget (CDMA) and all I can find are fastboot versions of the stock ROMs. I don't know how to unpack the .img files to get to the .apk and .odex

Can anyone help me out with getting these files? (the megaupload link in this thread doesn't work anymore)

Ok, so to get the apk and odex I just used root explorer to copy them from my system folder to my external sd. Now, when I'm in my safe system and I try to install the apk, it asks for permissions, I click ok, then it says "installation not successful"

I tried installing the apk from several different locations, but still nothing is working. Am I supposed to flash the zip that I created with the two files? I've never had to do that for any apk in the past.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I too love the stock weather widget from the Droid Razr but I switched to the Droid 3 and haven't found anything like it. I downloaded the 2 files but I haven't figured out how to install them. Any advice would be appreciated.

I figured out how to install .apk files but after it goes through the motions of installing and I accept both options for permissions, it just says the application not installed. Did you get it to work?
