What ROM are you running if any? It could just be a setting that is there from the ROM, but might not be able to do anything.

This is how the chip set in your phone communicates with the sim included. Also it sets how software communicates with your phone , I E for MEID ,Hex all the important stuff dealing with your phones info and how it makes it unique . Do not alter or mess with this stuff ! U always want your USB settings on MTP . Its main purpous is telling the phone how to send its data to a PC also when using certain software. In a nutshell its for programing your carrier data and more. Now I'm not going to get into more detail but using these settings with a certain program you can make your phone work on ATT, TMO etc. Hope that helped.

Removable user identity module/subscriber identy module. Basically a new method to allow a CDMA (code division multiple access) phone use a gsm network. Our phone service is still CDMA, but 4g-lte is a GSM (global system for mobile) style network. So this format combines the two.
