Well... this is interesting. Someone have a moto id to get to the supported device page??
It's returning a "Permission Denied" error on that page. So this website is only half-baked from the looks of it.

DEVICE ID AND UNLOCK KEY
To unlock your device, you need to retrieve your device ID and obtain an unlock code.
I. Retrieving your device IDII. VERIFY YOUR DEVICE CAN BE UNLOCKED
- Put your device in fastboot mode (Power+Vol Down) and connect over USB
- Open a command prompt or Terminal session
- Go to the Directory where you installed the Android SDK tools, and type: $ fastboot.exe oem get_unlock_data This fastboot command will return a character string. This is the Device ID which you will be using to generate your unique unlock key. $ fastboot oem get_unlock_data
(bootloader) 0A40040192024205#4C4D3556313230
(bootloader) 30373731363031303332323239#BD00
(bootloader) 8A672BA4746C2CE02328A2AC0C39F95
(bootloader) 1A3E5#1F53280002000000000000000
(bootloader) 0000000
OKAY
[0.297s]- To generate your unlock code, you’ll need to paste together the 5 lines of output into one contnuous string without "(bootloader)" or white spaces.. Using the example above, the line you’d send us would be:
0A40040192024205#4C4D355631323030373731363031303332323239#BD008A672BA4746C2CE02328A2AC0C39F951A3E5#1F532800020000000000000000000000- Enter your continuous string into the "Request Your Unlock Key" section below.
And then, If valid, a "Request Unlock Key" button will appear.

I am getting an error when trying to follow their instructions for running fastboot (or fastboot.exe) oem get_unlock_data:
... FAILED (remote: unsupported command)
That would suggest to me that our device fails the second part of those instrunctions...

From AndroidPolice.com
Well, well, well, looky at what Motorola has done today: it released the long-awaited, often-promised bootloader unlock tool! Unfortunately, the site doesn't appear to be finished just yet, as some of the more important parts - such as FAQ and Supported Devices list - are currently kicking back a "permission denied" error. Boo!
What we can see, however, is how the process works. For starters, you'll need fastboot and the Android SDK installed before you start the unlock process. And of course, the site is laced with warnings and disclaimers that the process will void the warranty, yada yada yada. We know the drill, Motorola.
While the supported devices list is null at the moment, we don't expect this service to be backwards compatible with existing devices (though it may be - there hasn't been official word at this point). With that said, we already know the , and all devices moving forward should also have the feature.
Here's the link to get started!
