This is a CM9 based rom so webtop and hdmi out do not work. Be watching for Speedyblur though. :)

This makes me excited, but I have a request. Is it possible to strip out as much blur as possible while retaining the bluetooth and HDMI functionality? I truthfully just can't wait till the HDMI issue is fixed for CM9/10.

Alright everyone, just going to get some stuff out of the way

NUMBER 1

I am now on twitter again! Please follow me at @jp1044 for the latest updates of my dev stuff. I will probably be faster to respond to twitter than to here.

NUMBER 2

I know this may be a disappointment to some, but I am planning to wait until ICS OTA goes live and I get back from vacation before I start work on SpeedyBlur so I can use a .244 base

NUMBER 3

I am working on a minor update for Speedlite, what do you guys want to see in the next minor update? 2.2 will mainly be some under the hood optimizations and tweaks. Some things that will be coming in 3.0 will be some theming and anything else I can think of.

Sorry to jump in here but the answer here as with the Razr is that the rotation bug will never be fixed until Big V unlocks our bootloaders. This is a CM9 kernel issue that is caused because we are using the Moto kernel and not the CM9 kernel.

Misinformation. It has jack squat to do with the bootloader. It's a kernel driver issue.

Yes, but if we had an unlocked boot loader, we could flash a kernel that had the appropriate driver.

This is very true. And after further research into the matter, apparently it's still no simple matter to fix the video driver kernel modules.

On the other hand, you DID ask what we wanted to see! :D

What is the main difference between this and DARKSP33D?

DARKSP33D uses speedlite as a base but has a lot more theming than Speedlite. It has all of the great performance and battery life as Speedlite but has a dark theme.

I ran this ROM for a few days. Google NOW seemed to drain my battery faster. The big problem I had was after a few days my phone would freeze, either with the screen off or on. Most notably it was either on a the charger, dock, just off either, or I pressed the button to turn off the screen. I removed the ROM because I had to pull the battery about 5 times.

Upon installation I did wipe data and cache. I am using SafeStrap. This is on my Droid Bionic.

Anybody else have this issue?

Hey cougarfighter, I was having issues too. I've only on 2.0 but I found that if I set the max cpu to 1000 instead of 1200 and change the gov it stopped the crashes and over heating. One of those give and takes. It may run faster @ oc but its not worth it if the phone is not functioning.
The gov I have been using is smartarse but everytime it reboots I have too set the gov and cpu. It reverts to interactive and 1200. Hope that helps.

I did change my CPU, not to 1000, but to 800 to be safe. That seemed to fix the lockups.

Sure has. Built in tethering in settings works like a charm!

  • I'm not sure what drives the audio problems (ie, with Spotify, Google Music, etc.) but if it's fixable, that would be money.
  • Maybe roll in the CM10 version of Messages.
  • Would also love to see a sleep option in the power menu, just like stock MotoBlur has. Power saving with instant on is the only thing I like about blur.
This ROM is great, thanks for a great JB build. Battery isn't as good as on the ICS build but I think that's to be expected.
