Do you think you will need a heavy duty case when this phone comes with Gorilla Glass and Kevlar backplate?

I agree, I can break anything as well. Sent my last Droid (The original) skittering across a parking lot several times. Ironically enough, the only thing that broke was the battery cover latches

I got the Otterbox when I got my phone; kinda hard getting used to but it started to grow on me - then I returned it for a simple black silicone case, that would fit in my car dock. (some say the OB will fit but it doesn't say so on the packaging) confirm anyone??

I just got the Otterbox Commuter and dear god I am loving it. Feels fantastic and protective. Don't go with defender.

I have the otter box commuter and don't like it at all. While it offers supreme protection it takes away astheticaly the reason I bought the phone in the 1st place. I now have a Nillkin hard case coming and from the pics I think it's going to be just right. Here's a link to it,

Update: The Nillkin hard case skin is nice and slim but the opening for the side buttons makes it difficult, I clipped the spacer bar across the top so they were easier to press, the soft Nillkin TPU is nice.

Anyone want my new otter box commuter? $20 paypal and I'll ship it to you CONUS.

I got the Verizon standard shell + holster, the main reason being the kickstand. I use the kickstand all the time.

I love that case, doesn't add much bulk to the phone. Also protects the thing well.

Plus it fits in my HD Station and the Nav Dock.

I took my screen protector off because the feeling bugged the $#!+ out of me, and the glass looks/feels so much better. I was counting on the small lip added around the screen of the phone by the case to protect the screen should it ever fall and slide face down (knowing the Gorilla Glass would protect it from pretty much everything else). I dropped the thing last week and it slid face down across asplalt for about 2 feet, of course. I picked it up fearing the worst and was pleasantly suprised. The case did it's job, and barely took on and abrasions.

I have the Defender series (

) and it's pretty durable. Comes with a screen protector built into it. Though these boxes don't always safeguard your phone... I had a seido case for my Droid X didn't drop it hardly any, and the screen still cracked/pixels leaked/whatever happened... But my buddy ran over his Blackberry at the time with a Humvee and it didn't do anything. Just depends

I have a commuter case and a reusable screen protector I got off line. I dropped my bionic once and put little chips into the screen.

Gorilla glass only seems to protect better than normal glass at the CES demos. I personally have never found it to be anything to write home about. There are a ton of RAZR owners who have dropped their phones from waist height or less and it cracked.

I hate to put any case around my phones, especially the Razr. The Razr so thin, light and beautiful and I can't see ruining it with a case. I always use a belt clip and I am so annoyed that the only belt clip case I have found forces me to put a thin case around the phone and then insert it in the belt clip. IT IS KILLING ME!

I can confirm the otterbox commuter series does fit in the car dock. You do however have to remove the inner clip from the car dock to accomodate the extra thickness of the otterbox. Its a really snugg fit but it makes the slid in charger line up exactly perfect.

I dont know about you guys but the car dock is my favorite accessory of all time.

I had a Seidio Active case for the regular Razr. I wanted to protect my phone, but I also liked that it made the phone thicker. The original is just to thin in my opinion. It's awkward to hold. But now that I have the Maxx, I don't want to add anymore bulk to it. There are not many cases out there for it anyway.
