If you can get to fast boot I would just try to use the utility tool that everyone provides. I've been bricking lately and that seemed to work. Although my boot logo is giving me a hard time but phone works

No, but, I'm suspecting your USB cable or port.

well the cable is a working data cable i use for my all my external HDs. I've used it for my phone so i know it transmits data. ill try another port. possibly another machine. I'm running win8 on VMware. couldn't i just use the update.zip on sdcard method?

Nope, you have to flash the FXZ. And while your cable may work for other things, the OEM cable that came with the phone is the best one to use for FXZ flashing.  Yes, it matters.

well now I'm getting somewhere. it actually booted, and now its on the initial setup. great! thanks so much for your help guys i really appreciate it. now before i mess this up again. when i tried to push the framework-res apk it worked only once, then after i tried another attempt just to test out how i got it to work thats when i crashed the system. whats the best method of pushing resource files or anything system related to the root filesystem.

here is the command prompt lines. if you notice in a few posts back to where i posted the image of cmd prompt . the invalid argument is still the same as in this successful attempt. only difference is that i actually left my phone connected after the failures and then it started to continue after 10-20 seconds or so even though it said Finished.

The only thing I can think of is the cable. As Sam stated, it does matter. The only other thing I can think of is possibly adding a pause to the script just prior to flashing partition, since before the partition flash it reboots into the bootloader and maybe the timing is off.....probably due to the bad cable :)
