I took the .211 ICS ota and used Voodoo to retain root but since then have been unable to temp unroot. Voodoo crashes and shows su permission is not granted. Im not sure i still have full root even though TB and Root Explorer seem to work fine. Also cant update SU binaries. I rooted using Doomlords gingerbread root. Can i unroot using Doomlord and reroot using mikes 1.8.1 utility? I just want to start from scratch and get everything working properly.

Try updating busybox first, then open superuser and try to update binaries again, then voodoo. The sync for those has been a lot trickier with ICS.

If still doesn't work, then you can go back to stock 211 with the 1.81 utility with option 1. You don't need to unroot first, the program will set everything up and then flash the boot and sys for 211. From there you can reroot using 1.81 as well.

There's also an app called Check Root on play store that will check root and tell you how rooted you actually are.
