Hey guys!,

Quick question here. I have the custom boot animation I want on my Bionic but it has no sound. I already have the sound I want for it, but I can't figure out how to get in there. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

You would have to add a line to the DESC file in the bootanimation.zip for sound I beleieve. The easiest way I could tell you to play around with it is to take a bootanimation that already has a boot sound and copy the format of the DESC file for sound. I hope this helps.

I've tried that. Nothing that I seem to try works! Is it because I'm trying to do it off of the .232 leak and there different ways of doing it for ICS?

Not sure if it is related but if you are using safe strap keep the system partition size limitation in mind.

is your sound file ogg? i have never tried using another format so this is just a theory of mine. I also think there might be a size requirement as far as how big a sound file can be as well but never messed with that either. i have always used mono never stereo and something like 32bit when making my sound files for bootanimations also make sure it is never to much longer than than the OG sound file is in terms of length.

here is a link to a bootanimation i added sound to.

i did not however create the bootanimation just the sound file.

I had to figure this out a couple of weeks ago. All I had to do was set the permissions/ownerahip for the new Bionic.ogg to the same as the original.
