These are various scripts written by other people so credit goes to the devs that made them, i just tweaked some of them a little.

I hope this thread goes somewhere cuz it'll make me feel real dumb for spending several days reading xda and other forums learning about the Ins and outs of init.d. Kinda makes me feel dumb I didn't just ask first.

My entire script set, it's still a work in progress and some of the stuff doesn't work, because of this.

Go wild on it.

All init.d is, is basically a startup folder that automatically runs scripts when you boot your phone, eliminating the need to run a 3rd party script app like Smanager in the background. You can then place various "Scripts" in the init.d folder to make tweaks to your phone on every boot.

Its just a startup folder - thats it, very simple.

no no, I know what it is now. What I meant was, instead of digging around the entire internet for different scripts to incorporate, I should have just did what you did and posted a thread asking peeps for what scripts they have/have had/use/used/etc

Gotcha...i have tried many scripts and for me my set it the OP seems to be the smoothest working script set on my phone, im running my own hacked version of ICS .215 you just have to make sure you make the permissions right i just do 777 r/w/x on all of them and there is an init.d loader tester in my script set that will log if the scripts ran and leave the log in /data folder, i don't know who made the init.d loader tester script but credit to them.
