I am new to flashing roms on my bionic and need a little help. I am currently running cm9 for ics .2233 via safe strap. What do i need to do to try flashing a different rom?

If it's anything like the Razr, you make a backup of current rom.. Wipe Data, Cache.. In the Mount/Unmount section, Format /system.., in Advanced section, Wipe Dalvik Cache. Flash rom.

Should all be done in safe boot mode.

So are you saying i should do a back up of my original rom on the unsafe side like i did when i first flashed cm9 and then toggle to safe side for data wiping and flashing? Or do i backup cm9 in my safe boot menu?

No he's saying (correct me if I'm wrong) backup your current Rom on safe side (in case the new Rom you are going to doesn't boot), then wipe data, dalvik, and format /system.

Flash new Rom and enjoy!

Correct. You do a backup on the safe side, to back up your CM9, in case the new one doesn't work, or you don't like it.

If you can't learn to crackflash with this bunch, then something is wrong.
