     Another nasty Android worm has popped up recently, with this one spreading by text message.  According to PC World, the new worm, called Android/Samsapo.A, appears to be targeting Russian speaking Android users by sending them a message which states "is this your photo" (in Russian), then prompting them to click a link that directs them to a site where they will then receive a prompt to download and install a "com.android.tools.system v1.0" apk file.  Needless to say, that file contains the malware, which, when downloaded, can then steal information from the user's device, as well as spread itself by sending similar text messages to anyone within the infected device's contact list.  Anyone who is the least bit security savvy SHOULD know by now not to click on suspicious links contained within email messages, but spreading malware via SMS/MMS is a newer tactic of which many smartphone users may not be aware.  So please, everyone do your good deed for the day and pass this on to the less security minded among you, and if anyone is interested in reading more details about this bug, click
