After much frustration while typing on the Atrix/Bionic lapdock, I figured out that you can disable the trackpad. Double tap the glowing trackpad light, and you can turn the trackpad off/on. It might be common knowledge (its actually listed in the manual that comes with the lapdock, but who reads those?), but its new to me; and hopefully it will help some of you.
