Hey everyone, new to this forum but not new to the Android community. I just bought the razr and noticed has okay-ish battery life, so I tried to find an extended battery for this phone. I found one, from AccessorySwamp.com, and it's currently in a development process. I was glad to see it would include a new battery cover to support the bigger battery, but after contacting them I found out they are probably going to drop the project unless it gets more interest.

Here's a link to the page, I'm hoping it gets more likes/support so we can see this developed. It may void your warranty but I know the battery is pretty easy to change out.

I know some may like the idea and some may not, but I'm hoping the ones who do like it will support it and maybe get a few made so we can enhance our battery life. On another note, the rep I talked to said they may look into the RAZR Maxx and distribute its battery and back cover as an upgrade kit.

Just wanting to share with everyone and see the opinions, and looking forward to being a contributing member here.

Wow! Thanks guys, I hope it gets more likes and +1's. I would really like to see this happen. I love everything about this phone except the battery life and this could be a great solution to make it perfect.

my god i need it
however.. how the hell do you install a new battery and battery door when you cant remove the battery cover in the first place

just a thought. since the razr's battery is internal. could you possibly use it as a backupbattery? as in once your 3500MAH battery dies your internal kicks in?

There are tutorials on YouTube on how to get it off. It doesn't loom to difficult.

This is a replacement to the internal battery. So you couldn't do that, but I guess you could swap the two when one died.

Glad to see it's moving along! When I first found it, it had 14 +1's and 19 likes, now it's at 47 +1's and 42 likes. I'm not sure how many AccessorySwamp is looking for, but at this rate I do think we could see an extended battery being made.
