Dang, i think I'm bricked. I was afraid I'd run the battery dead so I disconnected in this state and now my screen is not coming back on so I can't get back into fastboot. When I connect usb it tries to install QHSUSB_DLOAD now?

$#!+e... umm... well... yeah. Hate to admit it but I ended up on this thread for the XT926 but I now see that it was the XT907 file from this thread. That's what happens when someone spends all night trying to recover their phone. Wouldn't admit it except it might help someone else. Don't know how I ended up thinking this was the dang 926 file! FLIP! I'm dead now no?

So before I bricked it did my XT926 phone have any hope after getting stuck at recovery only options after the OTA?

That's a permabrick unfortunately.

Well on the bright side this xt926 has been around a while and has gotten to be a real pita. I think the hardware has always been glitchy.
-Anyway, was there any working kitkat FXZ and fastboot ap script for the XT926? I got too red eyed.. I dumped this file which is obviously named VRZ_XT907 into a folder that I called XT926... what a dufus!
If you're interested, the fastboot stays intact after that error I posted before. If I had the right image I'm sure I would have been able to abort at that point so long as I didn't turn off the phone. Stupid me after seeing the other dude's battery woes thought I should shut it off and try again later. WRONG! Time for a Samsung I think.
So despite what it looks like I'm not a complete idiot. Does QHSUSB_DLOAD actually correspond to a driver that anyone has been able to identify? I'm wondering if its in something similar to the TFTP mode that routers go into.

Yes, I created How To threads for both the XT907 and XT926 devices with the KK FXZ's to make it drop dead freaking simple.

Except when I search for XT926 FXZ I only get this thread? It's my dumb fault, but where is that other thread, can you link it here?

It's not going to help with your current error. That's a perma-brick from what we've seen.
