If you guys have been paying attention to Android related news the past few, well months really, you would know that the third series of vinyl android figurines by Dead Zebra went on sale on September 24th and sold out within 10 minutes of going on sale.

Well I was smart (for once) and pre-ordered a few back when I bought my last batch of the second series. It was more than 6 months ago and I had completely forgot about it. I got excited when I saw series 3 go through customs and then go on sale, and was wondering when mine would show up.

Well as I walked into work this morning I was greeted with a box, and thought I had received my TF700 case (hell yeah, brand new Transformer Infinity :D). Well I was wrong, but it was the best kind of wrong.

Now I am kind of sad that I only ordered three, but at the same time happy that I had the presence of mind to get in line early. I am stupidly OCD about stuff like this, so I will be opening them 1 by 1 over the course of the day, and possibly even over 2 or 4 days. I will be updating this thread as I find out which ones I got.

Series two had some great designs, such as:
Hexcode

The rest

I loved series 2, my personal favorites were Hexcode, Rupture, GD-927, and Operator (which is what I names the mystery one pictured above, he didn't have a formal name and since he looks like Racer I figured Operator fits him. I actually accomplished quite a feat when collecting the second series; I collected every single one (including the 2 mystery ones) and only got one double (Hexcode). They come in blind boxes so you never know exactly what you are going to get. I saw a ton of people complaining about this, actually saying they weren't going to buy any because of it; but in my opinion that's 90% of the fun!

Anyways, series 3 went above and beyond series 2 in my opinion, just check them out!

A couple points:
- Yes, there is a Nexus one! And he's holding a phone! And slightly transparent!
- A lot of them have accessories.
- Yes, that is an android inside and android, and the big ones head opens up so you can take the little one out.
- They have ball jointed arms this time, so they are fully articulating!
- There are four (4) mystery designs this time!!

So, if you want to pick your up my advice would be to get on Dead Zebra's mailing list (they may be back in stock for all I know). There are quite a few online toy shops that sell them, including: Cardboard Spaceship (where I get mine), Think Geek, Android Guys, and many more. Just Google them and you'll find a place.

Good hunting!
