I woke up one morning and the OTA was downloading. Now it keeps asking if I want to install now or install later (I always choose later).  Is there a way to block it? Or will it just do it on its own? I don't want to lose root as I tether with it.

Mine is locked rooted on stock rom.  Thanks in advance :)

Should be able to freeze the updater.apk then clear the cache. Should prevent it from installing.

Since you are rooted .... Use titanium backup or similar to block (freeze) the updater...... Should show up as "updater 412" or close to that........ Then since the update is already downloaded..... Boot into recovery and clear cache....... (Or use a root explorer to delete cache).......

Bottom line, if you take the update....... You will lose root with not much hope of getting it back......

Just an FYI, for anyone interested, I use the free version of TiBu, and you can freeze/delete apps with it
