Text From 6250?

I've been getting a text from 6250 with the message VZWNMN:1. Does anyone know what it is??? Help please this is very annoying. I've gotten about 15 or so already.

it is from the verizon backup program. Go to settings and disable verizon backup. You could also go to your verizon account and remove the backup option from your account. Had this issue as well, skiipped the backup setup when flashing a new rom and also went to my verizon account and removed the free backup. Cleared it up

You are correct!! I canceled the Backup Service on my Verizon account and I have not had a 6250 text and over two hours. I also cleared the data in Handcent, rebooted and no 6250 txt messages.

I am also getting these texts. I do NOT have backup assistant on, and on another forum they said to turn off contact management, which I don't have that added either. It has become a pain because anytime I try to set up my email through the Gmail, I start getting these texts, and making the email setup fail. Help! Make it stop!
