I've been using ROM Toolbox and changing the Boot animations with it. The problem I have is when you look at a preview of the animation it is full screen and after you install in it's only about a quarter of the screen. I've checked the desc.txt and the size is 1280x720 which is correct. So why does it come up using only a quarter of the screen after you install it?
Boot animation size problem.

I downloaded the doc who boot and it appears that all the images are saved within the boot animation folder in landscape as opposed to portrait. Not sure if this could be the issue. I'm going to rotate all the pics and see if that helps.

That is exactly the problem ..... the frames must be a comparable size/format to the device.....

99% chance that the preview is a .gif animation and not takes directly from the frames in the animation.........
Damn I should have known that. That's how it has always been done in the past.

What you guys are saying makes good sense but ROM toolbox gives you the option to "resize" it. So why doesn't it work when you change the desc.txt? I would have thought that if you change the size in the desc.txt it would have to work even if the frames look distorted. I'm just trying to understand why this won't work like I think it should.

When you edit the desc.txt to "resize" ....... It will attempt to resize it for the device.... It don't always work properly..... And its based on image size and format etc....
