The AOSP Browser will not work unless you do 2 things.

1st. Root your device and place the apk into the system/apps and give it proper permissions then reboot.

2nd. Without Root one can try to push the apk into system/apps using ADB commands and chmod the permissions then reboot.

For some reason the Browser will only work as a system/app and not a data/app. Best off rooting your device to make it easier on yourself.

If it something that you don't wanna do then PlayStore=

Doesn't matter.  182, 183.  It works regardless.  Don't make this complicated!  Just go do it.

It's about as easy as it can possibly be.  Install towel root and motoapocalypse apps.  Run towel root, wait for the reboot.  Run motoapocalypse.  Done.

Then don't.  But just know you had the opportunity and it will be gone very soon. It's your choice.  All good.

To me personally it. Was a simple processes that only took less then 5 mins. The great thing about doing this is that if something doesn't go right it will boot back into with what you have already. No worries on having a paper weight. Just make sure to follow Sam's steps to the T and it will flow like butter. Also if you do decide to do this. Make sure you unlock your screen right away after each reboot to see if something needs to be granted permissions.... Thanks in Advance

Like Sam stated there is not really any differences between the two. Since they decided to use the older tz instead of the patched one on KK that is all that matters. I tried doing it on 9.30 and all it did was failed to unlock But it did root it just wasn't able to unlock until I updated to KK $3π+ £®m€ ×X× ®∆z® |/|@xX Π¶ oπ $ø|/|£ťhïñğ ¢ű$ț¤|/|
