Hashcode has some cool new stuff planned for us related to Safestrap 3.0. Seems that he took what some features from Boot Menu and put them into Safestrap such as multi-booting. Also he's changing the base from ClockworkMod Recovery to the Team Win Recovery Project. Read the details yourself:

That sounds awesome! I've rooted 2 s3 and am so jealous that they have twrp. Its fast as hell to flash Tom's on those phones and Twrp is awesome.

I like the implementation of Team Win Recovery. I think its a nicer touch recovery over CWM Touch which I feel it too easy to fat finger and wipe your whole phone, lol.

This is going to change everything! i talked to hashcode early on about being able to change the size of the safe side system partition and he said "you cant...im working on a new safestrap for that exact reason" Now naturally i assumed that this meant making the safe side the same 500mb's as the unsafe/bootstrap partition...i had no idea he was going to take the system partition completely out of the picture! see this is why people have to think outside the box lol i am soooo excited about safestrap v3.0 i almost cant even stand it!!

I had TWRP on my Rezound and liked it a lot. Glad to see we're going to be able to use that Recovery. Don't get me wrong, ClockworkRecovery has been a staple, but it's nice to change it up a bit

Awesome work. Does anyone know if TWRP is going to support Bionic--seems like SS 3.0 wouldn't work on the Bionic if they don't. THanks Hashcode for all the hard work.

Safestrap v3 for Bionic, RAZR/MAXX/XT910, and Droid 4 is a single .APK to distribute. It’s only because I need to rebuild Safrstrap for D3 as a GB-compatible binary that the Droid 3 needs a separate APK. This will make updates easier in the future.

That's a direct copy & paste from hashcode's blog. Second to last bullet under "Major Changes". While stock TWRP may not have been ported to the Bionic, I'm going to assume SS v3 will support it due to hashcode's efforts.
