Yeah pretty much title. I plug in my headphones and then if I move them slightly, it stops the music and it would sometimes play through the speaker. any ideas?

System shuts off the music when it detects that the output device in use when started is removed. You must have a not so good connection with your headphones and moving them slightly causes a poor connection resulting it the player during down. If your phone is a pocket phone, it is quite likely the lint from the pocket had built up in there.

Took the words from my mouth! Be careful when you start jabbing in though with a toothpick, a lot of headphone ports have no backing, so you can poke right on into the device (I'm not sure about the Maxx HD, but numerous laptops and phones that I've torn apart had no backing to the headphone port.  ;)

correct the headphone jack has no back really, its solderless and just touches the contacts and is "locked" in by a few other parts.

I know since I replaced it :)

and if you need to go that route I found the jack for $10 on ebay, and got a few tools from ifixit.com
