Then it's down to port/driver/cable issue. You can try switching to the House of Moto and use the fastboot mode but I doubt it'll change anything. You can try, though.

It's not bricked. Well, not permanently. The issue is that it failed to send the system partition. So as a result of that you're in the state you're in now. System is over a gig in size which is why I say it's incredibly likely to be a cable/port/driver issue. Must be a USB 2 port. Using the original OEM cable that came with the phone (yes, it matters), and you must have the latest moto USB driver installed.

But in all seriousness, make sure your drivers are up to date, make sure its a Motorola cable, make sure you have all correct settings, and make sure you have the right fxz.
