I am unlocked and rooted on this update. I did flash back to stock and rooted before installing update and it went very smooth. My question is if for what ever reason I wanted to flash back to the stock version, can I still do it and keep the data using the scripts I used previously?

Since you're unlocked, sure.

I get confused on when it's ok to run the keep data script vs the universal script. I know when you go backwards you need to use the universal so I was not sure if that applied here. Samu thx for all the help you have been providing for everyone.

UNIVERSAL can be run all the time except in the case of upgrades.  If you're upgrading to a new version,  keep data is probably appropriate.  In this case, universal is fine since the upgrade is applying an OTA rather than upgrading with an FXZ.  Hopefully that makes sense.  :)

Given that the main fix is the bluetooth stuff, I'd say almost certainly yea.

Cool I'll hold a little hope this one will allow the modem to be programmed like the ICS radio.. Probably not... But I can hope. Stranger things have happened

So is this soak update the same one that will eventually be sent out to everyone? I thought that for the KK OTA update they had 2 versions, the soak version 182.xx and the "official" version 183.xx. I am just wondering if I should just do this one now or there is any potential benefit in waiting for the "official" OTA update? Thanks for the info as always.

I love Moto for creating all the confusion around this.  There wasn't a "soak" vs "release" build.  A while back people got split into two different versions showing up.  If you ended up with 9.18.94, you would get build 182 OTA pushed to you.  If you ended up with 9.30.1, you would get build 183 OTA pushed to you.  The soak build that was originally published was from a user that has 9.18.94, and so it updated to 182.  But others in the soak had 9.30.1 and got 183 pushed to them.  Fast forward to this mess. If you're on 183, you should take this update.  if you're on 182, well, who knows where that update is, but, I'm sure someone in the soak test probably got it.  I don't have it nor have I seen it.  Personally I recommend sticking with the 183 versions.

Unless something drastic comes up during the latest soak, what was leaked will be what they push out more than likely as the official OTA.

Ok sounds good. Thank you both for the info.
