Would it be possible to connect my razr to laptop via usb and run a program that would read sms msgs and allow me to respond to them?

Using the touch screen keyboard constantly when i am sitting next to my laptop seems quite pointless to me.

I am running Ubuntu 11.10. Thank you very much. could not find much help thru google.

Google Voice works too, although that doesn't use the same number as your phone does (other than for WiFi calls... but for Tablet and multidevice users it's a lifesaver!)

I used Koush's Desk SMS and liked it but ended up using MightText. As it turns out, I do not use it as much as I thought I would, so a free app such as this suffices.
