I ran across this info today and thought I would share it with you guys since theses questions are asked daily, which is better AOKP or CM10?, whats the difference between them?, which has more built in mods?, which one gets better battery life? The list goes on and on so here is a straight to the point detailed list of features, differences, pros and cons.

Now that's one of the best comparison articles I've seen for these two ROMs. Thanks for sharing this, I'm sure it will help a lot f people out.

No problem. I hope this helps keep other devs threads & inboxes from being flooded with the same questions over and over.

Sorry this is not a Rom, this is just a thread on the difference between the two. I do build roms but so far only for CDMA.

You can't install anything to the stock slot; that I'm aware of anyway. I know you're supposed to be able to but I have yet to see anybody succeed at it. I've tried several roms and none of them worked. Best to just let the stock slot be. I know, it uses a bunch of memory but, well, it's what we have so it's what we have to use.
If you want to try AOKP, there are nightly's available if you're adventurous. I'm running the latest. Just installed it today. Only things I've found so far that aren't working are HDMI and the docks. Otherwise, it's been smooth sailing on it so far.

Just FYI, I successfully flashed custom ROMs to the stock slot using BootMenu Manager instead of safestrap. It's a CWM based recovery. No ROM I flashed there with SS3 would boot, but every single one I've tried on BMM boots and works normally on the stock slot. This includes Aviator Blur, CM RC2 and Buttered Aokp. I can now access all of my internal storage within the ROM and there does appear to be a performance increase, though it very well could be a placebo effect lol
