I am glad to see that someone was actually able to load any release of CM11(spyder) on their XT912. I was able to load JB 4.3.1, but cannot get anything past that to load/boot. I have rooted, flashed, etc from the beginning of times, I remember hex editing my original Razr to make it able to load my own music, ringtones, pictures etc... so using/learning the SafeStrap option was very convinienent, and very nice. I thought I was doing something wrong, but I was thoroughly following the directions and each time I tried any of the CM11 builds; stable, nightly, etc.. it would just not load. I wound up loading CM10 JB 4.3.1 onto my 2nd ROM and it works great, I had previously tried a few CM11 releases both under original ROM (which is dead weight now I believe as I cannot load anything and load from it)... but I was able to load the CM10 on my 2nd ROM, Activate that, load the according gapps, and it's worked wonderfully, in fact I love it as I was on the older Verizon release that was like over a year or two old. I really like my XT912 but am due for an upgrade next month.. I just wanted to see if I could get KitKat on my current phone because I like having the latest/coolest stuff. Cyanogen has done wonders for me in the past, it completely saved a useless HP Touchpad that came with WebOS, I went through a few versions of Cyo's Roms and eventually the latest one (for me at least) had cleared up all issues that people were having.
Am I completely missing something, I am pretty sure Verizon = CDMA, and my XT912 has always worked fine with Verizon's releases, and it is working AWESOME with Cyo's CM10 4.3.1.. I really don't care at this point about 4.4, but still after trying the same exact routine I used to flash/load CM10 the CM11 would just never properly load, even if it said it flashed OK... I'll get to the SafeStrap screen with the "bad" screen, not the green one as I do w/ 4.3.1... I am not seeking expertise help, just user to user feedback if anyone has gotten KK 4.4 to work on their XT912 from Verizon, if so, how, and if so, how do they like it? I am loving 4.3.1 and doubt I will update unless something really sticks out to me. I've been to the Verizon store and a family member recently got the newest Razr Droid that has 4.4 and they look cool, but nothing stands out compared to what I've got... just wondering what the flashing/rom issues have been and are..
