I just want to show my public gratitude to 24v for offering to overnight me $112 worth of D batteries, with shipping costs. Sadly, UPS Fed Ex and USPS are broken so we won't be able to get the batteries we need for flashlights and such. Sadly, within reach by car or kayak, there are NO D batteries. But we'll make due with candles.

People, that is why droidrzr is a family! Because there are people on here willing to do that for people like myself on who live on the New Jersey shore and were slam dunked by Hurricane/Super Hybrid Storm Sandy.

I also appreciate all the thoughts and prayers everyone else on this forum has offered to not only me but the many, many other members I've heard from who are also local to me. If I can speak for all of us, we greatly appreciate your kind words.

Droidrzr is a great community, unlike any forum I've ever belonged to in the past and I say to you all by candle light, 3.5G hotspot tether and car battery cell phone juice...Thank you!

Thank u all for everything. Even if it's good wishes. I can't help but comment on the amazing technology the world has afforded us too. I'm sitting here by candle light, no power, no heat, no nothin. Surrounded by disaster and devastation...but yet I can STILL find a way to come online and keep you all posted. What a world we live in today, amazing.

Daino, where is ur family around here? Have u talked to them? Do u need me to check on anyone?

Well that's great to hear cuz if I I drive 2 minutes east, there's nothing left. The home, businesses, the boardwalk... Its all gone. Washed away into the ocean. I am a lot luckier than some. I can at least be thankful my house is still upright. No power, but standing.

I've seen lots of pictures like that... It's sad to see that all. I'm really happy your house is ok. If i can do anything like mail any supplies up your way when UPS and Fed Ex get back up let me know.

Glad you are ok....... seeing pics like that is quite humbling..... knowing that it only takes an instant and you can lose everything...... hope everyone else who lives (or has family) up in this area are all ok as well......
