I am asking because the OG RAZR has a gyroscope and it is not enabled. This means that the photosphere portion of the new Cramer does not work. If the HD gyroscope is enabled and uses the same hardware as the og razr, I was hoping to find a way to activate the og gyroscope.

Thank you for the answers.

Probably something at the kernel level. Kexec might be the only way.

I tried to find if the HD has a gyroscope and couldn't find an answer, so I went ahead and installed the camera and gave it a try. Here is a link to one of the photospheres I did just testint it out:

Most modern phones do for gaming reasons. It's essential for many apps like levels as well. The HD I can pretty confidently say does have one even though my device doesn't get here til tomorrow.

I was able to install the new camera and photosphere does work.

I installed the 4.2 camera and the app always crashes when I try to select photosphere. Panorama and regular stills works fine but I can't get photosphere to work.

Did you copy the appropriate libs into your system/libs folder?

Also, I found a thread that says you need to make a couple build.prop edits to make it work, but I don't think that's the case.

Originally I only found and installed the gallerygoogle.apk file which had been posted as an individual download over on XDA. After some more searching around last night I found the full zip file with the lib files and added all the relavent files. Now everything seems to be working including photosphere and editing in the gallery.

thanks all for the help.
