When I attempt a wipe data/factory reset in stock recovery it only displays:
--Wipe data...
Formatting /data...
Then stalls there, Never confirming complete by going back to initial recovery screen.
When I reboot using -vol | Pwr the phone seems to have reset.
any ideas?
Are you trying to wipe data for ICS or on the leaked Jelly Bean build? If you are on the ICS build from what I have experienced wiping data takes can take 10-15 minutes to complete for me, but on the leaked Jelly Bean build it wipes in about 2-3 minutes so you may want to allow it more time before you manually reboot.

Stock everything but root, fresh out-the-box. Wow so let it go? Coming from OG Maxx, expected it to be similar! Your welcome. I would just let it sit, I came from the OG Razr also and It kinda surprised me the first time I tried to wipe data but like 10 minutes later it finally finished.
Let me know if it works.
