Thanks for the great post. But this seems a lot more complicated than how I have mine ocd. I used the old initd zip and extra gov zip to flash in recovery. Then u can use either the tweakerz apk or rom toolbox to oc. I use rom toolbox to oc on boot. Wham bam thank you ma'am. I can post the zips I use if anyone is interested.

Eclipse already has init.d support baked in and Nitro has most of the govs loaded too. To add 3 files and change a few permissions / ownership seems pretty easy to me.
Your way works too though. Just need a few apps to get it done.

I hear u. I was mainly using tweakerz to play with voltages on other roms and when I opened it up on eclipse it didn't have the correct modules loaded. So I flashed the initd zip along with the extra governors and used tweakerz to set the clock speed and voltages. Either way ocing this ho on ics is just slicker than snot

Yes, this will run on any stock or custom ROM with init.d support.
Thanks for proving it works on Icarus.

Thanks for this. It was a piece of cake. It was my first time overclocking and it went off without a hitch.

What file manager are you using? My preference is root explorer or root browser.

Make sure you tap the mount r/w button first.

So I realized that in my settings I have to enable root so I can write to a folder(obviously dumb ol me) but when I try and enable the root access it gives me an error saying ""denied root access due to permissions of interactive shell""

Your using es file explorer app. Save your self a headache and buy root explorer app. Then you will be done in no time.

I actually figured it out it was in my root app for some reason it was just denying that app so in granted permission for it and my files did get copied over. But next time I think I'll just buy root explorer for less brain strain lol

Is there a simple way to edit the 98cpu to up the clock speed or do I have to change it all in terminal emulator? Never mind I got it.

Use tweakerz app to find something stable. Then change the script to those settings.

Can someone please tell me what the default governor and scheduler are for the bionic on OTA ICS? I have been playing around with so many and have forgotten.
