is there any reason why when i restore my backups i cannot get passed the droid eye boot screen? it just sits on it animating and never moves passed that. i have tried 2 separate backup restorations and neither make it passed there. the boot animation goes through its entire run, however the boot sound only goes halfway, then cuts off.

they were done on the jelly bean leak.

any help is greatly appreciated....someone please help me out im lost for 3 days now i need the backup to restore.

What seemed to cause this was the following.....

I had jellybean leak on my stock slot. Created a slot 1 and restored my stock slot backup into slot 1. Then Iflashed a fee mods on slot 1 since its the only one able to fflash .zips. reboot was fine so I wanted to save those changes. So I backed up slot 1. Back up was successful. Then what I did was I restored slot 1 backup on stock slot. So the mods I flashed (.zips) would be on my stock slot. Now device won't boot. Backups restore successfully. No errors. Cannot get past droid eye. I would like to just get my stock slot backup to boot on my stock slot. But it doesn't seem tot boot. Please help! ;(

First, let me say I don't have a HD so I'm not familiar with the leak you're talking about. That said, if you went from ICS to JB, more than likely the update included an updated boot.img. My guess is the kernel has been updated and that's possibly the reason you can't get this to work. The backup you made of the original system wouldn't include the kernel. So, restoring it wouldn't restore the kernel and you'd be trying to boot ICS on a JB kernel. Perhaps that would work but I have my doubts. I don't know if you have fastboot files available for the HD or not but that might be what's necessary here. I know when the first ICS leaks came out for the razr the only way back to Gingerbread was fastboot. JB to ICS is more than likely the same.

I could be way off base here but I'm guessing that's what your problem is.

Edit: I read your post again and perhaps I misunderstood. I'm not really sure. I took it you restored a backup of your stock slot that you made before you installed the leak. After reading it again, I'm not so sure that's the case. If not, then I don't know what to tell you. Sorry if I misunderstood.
