Try downloading Utility again and unpacking; I had same happen to me. Utility wasn't fully unpacking so it couldn't access all of the commands but thought it did. Either way, welcome; I hope you find the site a great place too.

The root method for DROID RAZR (XT912) DONT WORK ON THE DROID M (XT907) but there is a way to root the DROID M with leaked or with OTA update confirmed working on both
GOOD LUCK
this worked perfectly for me and I too had a similar situation that you did. I dd the leak jb update. After reading trying everything this JB leak OTA root method that jvasquezhhi posted here from xda worked for me.

AND! I can NOT power up normally using power button. I HAVE to hold down vol up and down then hold power button to get to Boot options. Factory reset maybe? Situation getting worse. Seems to be worsening anyway. Now what?
Now it reboots to AP Fastboot if it is connected to the p.c. WTF!
Ok, fast boot wiped all data and cache, but all else failed, or at least both my p.c. and phone says as much. But I figured I would try to root using the ICS 4.0.4 method as directed in Matt's RAZR Utility 1.82, which is where my latest compounded problem starts. At the very first reboot, the link failed and my phone rebooted into AP Fastboot mode. which is disturbing at best, it has never done that in all my now near infinate root attempts. Oh yeah, and of course my flashing of ICS failed as I knew it would since my upgrade to JB was OTA and not a leaked version. PLEASE ADVISE. Atm my phone is connected via USB and still in AP Fastboot mood while exploit is awaiting my "press any key" decision. So, if anyone is on and reading this, I will check back in 15 minutes or so. then? I honestly do not know. Lol
Um, will fastboot restore ICS after an OTA upgrade? I am OK with JB, just want root access. I hear JB roots with same exploit but I have tried many times, most recently it displayed that every step was a success, but it was not, no root.
ok you prob and im not expert but it sound like you semibriked your phone... it happened to me once when i had a Razr 912 now i have the Razr M (907) which matts utility is not supporting for what i know so far.. you need to fastboot your phone back to stock use this to do that and than root using this good luck

Same thing is happening here, can't get it to take, adb is setup and installed correctly
but I'm at a loss now because this M is a replacement to the razr that was rooted and tethering setup!
I'm afraid to pay more for what I am already paying for .. Please pass this along to the rescue team.
Thanks in advance!

and you have the same problem of not being able to root? if yes than i can't stress enough the fact you can't root with matts utility for the razr... these are not the same phones... maybe you have a bit of luck if you use the utility made for the HD but i suggest going here it only works on windows until maybe a utility comes along and again it works best if you wipe cache and data...Ok Guys at least I know I'm not alone!

when you create the romslot1 i suggest 1gb for most users... (keeps phone fast) you have to do the wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset and system i think its best to do it 2x but 1 should be good... than install the rom you want.ok flashed JB and rooted, safestrap installed. I created a ROM slot but cant install a custom ROM on it. Whats the deal? only slot that will work is the stock one. Anyone know how the ROM slots work? I thought is was so you could install custom ROMs while keeping the stock ROM also.
