As it says on the OP. On the .15 Kitkat build with a locked bootloader there is no where else to go. You can't root becaluse there isn't a workable exploit that has been proven to work. The main difference between the .10 build which you said failed to flash and the .15 build is security fixes which also patched the exploit that was working. You have a stock rom and that is what you will have to be happy with. If you had been unlocked then there would be no problem.

Actually there is a working root (shockingly) available for .15 called Hydrogen Peroxide. No unlock, of course, but root is now a thing.

I would suggest you find the fxz file for your local area and flash that one. It sounds like you may have flashed a file from another area.  You will have to find the file for your carrier and area but stay with the same version. Google for the file and area, carrier.

Factory fxz files are flashed via rsdlite or a tool like house of moto which you will find on this site. Be careful and find the proper factory file for your phione for your area.

. But this "box" is expensive. But if you are lucky, you can find someone who has it and unlock your device :)

Sim unlocked is not the same as bootloader unlocked. Just to add some clarity to the situation, please verify if it was sim unlocked or actually bootloader unlocked.

Gathering your other cross posts (not a good idea), Usual checks, proper drivers installed, using a motorola cable, using a usb 2.0 port from the computer not a hub. If that all is in order you can set up HOM and try to flash it that way.  If the errors don't change or go away you have a memory chip failure.

I've got a droid razr m XT907 verizon. Is there a way to unlock it? It won't boot. It shows the motorola logo and won't do anything else to boot. I'm able to get into fastboot and the recovery mode screens. The computer was able to recognize it using sdk fastboot.

Look for SamuriHL's House of Moto 4.3 and follow the instructions to the letter.  If that doesn't bring it back to life nothing will.

Wondering why to use the 4.3 version instead of the most recent update?

Also is there an updated link for the fxz where I could get the correct factory image for the XT907?

Thanks for the help.
