Recently I've encountered an issue with two of the ICS roms I've downloaded. When using Maps, I get a system message about login failure. I'm not sure if this issue is just in those roms, but I don't think so. I've gotten it in Flick 4.80 and Evolution 4. I searched the fora, and noticed a similar problem in ArcticHD. I saw a post stating it happened when using Google Maps and also Drive, so I believe it's just related to apps asking permissions from your Google account. If you encounter this issue, this is what worked for me. After launching Google Maps, or other applications, sneer at the login failure prompt, and then:

1) Hit the menu button
2) Select Log In (or find the way to log in if your app differs)
2.5) There will be a notification for an application requesting a permission. A red/orange triangle with an exclamation point in it.
3) Pull down the notification bar, and click on the notification.
4) It will tell you which app is requesting which permission. They seem to be abbreviated, and I can not tell what it's asking for.
5) Accept the permission (if you trust the app)
6) Repeat steps until log in succeeds. The permissions should be different every time.

If anyone else has any other solution, please post about it! Especially if it's faster. Thanks, and good luck!

you could try to re flash the app and see if it clears the problems you are having.
